can you post the output of wppizza->tools->system info please ?
there’s a lot more that doesnt work there when in mobile viewapart from that:
theUndefined variable: todayYmdwill be fixed in the next update of the preorder plugin
theNotice: Undefined offset: 32can probably be fixed by simply adding a new dummy category in wppizza->categories, drag/dropping it into a separate place and then just deleting it again .
however , neither of those 2 notices will be causing your issue are are somewhat inconsequential (but of course ffill up your debug log unnecessarily)>Is there a possibility
that’s what the “set as private reply” checkbox is for
without a link to the site I cannot really comment
other than, have you enabled debug ? https://docs.wp-pizza.com/troubleshooting/
what does your debug.log say (if anything ) ?no
if you are open between 5 and 7 the only timeslots available are between 5 and 7
if you are closed at any given time the timeslots available will still only be the ones between 5 and 7in essence, the customer can order outside of your opening hours (unless specifically disabled) for a timeslot *during* your opening hours
>would the pre order slots only show between those times?
depends on the settings. you can choose to only allow preorders when you are actually open
or show the timeslots available during your opening hours a customer can choose from when you are closed>Also can card payment be made even with pre order?
yes (note: if using paypal, it should not be enabled in “checkout” mode, but as the default “normal” re-direct. Although it will work, if you want to set a maximum number of orders per timeslot , it will not be as reliable in checking whether a timeslot is still available due to the way paypal implements the “checkout” procedure displaying their own paymnt buttons in an iframe)>Also is it possible to set the Minimum days in advance per day
No, sorry. Minimum orders in advance is only a global setting, so you can set those number of days generally , but it cannot be different for each dayIf you have any other questions, let me know
thanks
>How does the sort order work if all of them are 0 – does it then sort by title to determine the order?
that’s a question for wordpress actually the default (ID) simply orders by “menu_order” column in the wp_posts table.
(WPPIZZA is just a custom post type so on that front behaves just like other posts) i suspect that wordpress itself soe some sorting if 2 order id’s are equal by published date or something
all thing being equal, the frontend is essentially the same order as the order the items are displayed in the backend (wppizza>menu items)ignoring all of that, i somewhat suspect you have some other plugin running somewhere that changes the sort order
have you tried turning off other plugins ?bit of a guess admittedly without seeing everything, but generally/by default menu items (ie “products”) are sorted by order set
([your domain]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wppizza&page=layout -> Items Sorting and Category Display ->Menu items sort order)see also here
https://docs.wp-pizza.com/faqs/?section=sorting-menu-itemsif you still have issues after trying this, let me know and we’ll have to look in a bit more detail
>I don’t want to buy it and then realise it can’t do what I need.
I completely understand and applaud you for asking the question first.
I’ll get back to you soon with a few “known issues” (i’ll need to write now actually so people understand the possible limitations) and have a think if your scenario would actually be “doable”just give me a bit of time
thanks
@jordangerrard
please post you own topic

3 May, 2020 at 4:57 pm in reply to: Private: Google Cloud Print will be disabled on December 31, 2020 #48455some more solutions seem to be here
https://www.foldermill.com/solutions/remote-printing#print-from-google-drive
(still needs a computer to be on though from what i can see though, therefore not a direct replacement as such)
this would – seemingly , though not tested – actually somewhat work with the cloudprint plugin insofar as you can set the printer id to be “__google_docs” which would in effect add the order to your google drive and you might be able to use the software linked here to autoprint
I haven’t tested this – somewhat busy with other things currently – so if there’s someone that has tried this, I’d be very happy to hear it> I had to downgrade in some webpages because of this
you can do that of course, but I’d be interested to hear why a “asap” option is of any benefit to a shop bearing in mind what i said above about what – apparently – customers think “asap” means as opposed to what it means to a shop when you are actually closed – which of course is the main reason for using the plugin, i.e pre-order at a time when the shop is closed for a time when the shop is open again (or of course days in advance if set up that way)of course, my above comments are not absolute, but the development was – as always – based on users feedback
> But users coul not select a time outside of openung hours — so why is that a failure..?
they still cant. but – as outlined – they were able to select “asap” *outside* of the shops opening hours – after all that’s one of the reasons for using the plugin to start off with – and assumed (as people just don’t read things) it meant “in the next half an hour or so” – even if the shop was closed for the next 14 hours – or even days – or something, so then complained if they paid but didn’t get their stuff in 30 minutes or whatever.
now , they *have to actively* choose a timeslot so the ambiguity of “i said ‘asap’, but didnt know ‘asap’ means tomorrow when the shop is open again is eliminated…
in reality, “asap” means different things to whatever side of the table you are sitting at
for the customer, in many cases, it means “preferably now, but i can deal with it if it takes 1/2 hour or so”
for the shop it means, “i will do what i can, but if i’m closed i’ll do this asap when i’m open again” (naturally the shop cant do things when its shut)although i can see why this kind of thing might be a good idea, essentially treating certain dates like a sunday for example or something along these lines, it is currently not implemented
So one (perhaps the only) way to do that at the moment would be to have it once set from – let’s say – 30/10/2020 to 24/10/2020 and then with the same settings from 26/10/2020 until -> whenever
I’ll see what i can do in an update to the plugin, but no ETA or promises at the moment I’m afraid. these things always have a habit of turning out to be more complicated than they seem at first glance
>that the function is not more anymore
that is correct – it clearly says so in the changelog.the reason why it’s removed is because too many people reported that customers selected “asap” outside of opening hours and then complained when the order did not arrive within 30 minutes or so (obviously, because the shop was closed)
so now – outside opening hours – people have to actively select an available timeslot.
during opening hours, the next available timeslot is automatically selected , or – optionally – you can also set it to force the customer to select a timeslot *during* your opening hoursthat said, maybe there’s a way to bring back the “asap” at least during your actual opening hours, i’ll see what happens when i try to do something like that (though it will be somewhat different probably )
sure, whatever works for you best is great.
All I’m saying is that solutions that require a computer being on – and there are already many of them as outlined, no need to re-invent the wheel – are no real substitute for what cloudprint does>after computer switch on
but that’s exactly what we are trying to avoid to have to do as this sort of thing already exists in multiple forms (see discussions in the link i posted above)
happy to hear it.
Do want to share what the issue was here ?
(in case someone else comes across the same issue)you need to speak to your printer manufacturer. i know nothing about your printer
actually (admittedly i need to mention that in the plugin requirements)
if you are using wppizza v3+ it must be version 3.8 at a minimum for the preorder plugin to work.
after all, v3.7.1 is over a year and a half old -
