looks like your server (which is not that surprising given the errors that started this thread) as when i use my settings (which work here just fine) on your server i get timeout errors too.

then speak top them. this should work (as they are talking about wordpress specifically for that package)

in the meantime – temporarily – try to set the mailer type (wppizza->settings) to plaintext.
the emails wont be that pretty, but it might just make it work while you talk to them

perhaps you can also use the email account /smtp settings for the email you are using to receive orders

that’s caused by your host doing the following (and i suspect they did that 2 days ago after which your emails/orders stopped working):

as that 5th parameter is called in wordpress itself, there is nothing i can do

i can only suggest you speak to them as you will otherwise have to hack the WP core files (which is never a good idea)

you could also try using/settings up SMPT (in wppizza->settings), but I am not sure it will allow you to work around this restriction (worth a try though)

yes

in any event, it makes much more sense to group things anyway i would have thought.
if it says 2x rice , the kitchen will just do 2 portions of rice when they get to the rice listed in the cart and put those into the bag.

if someone added 1x “chop suey”, 1x rice and 1x ice cream, and the second person then adds the same stuff, the kitchen has to go through the list 2 times for every single item , whereas they could just deal with all chop suyes , then all rice and then all ice cream etc etc.

more efficient and faster

if you want to add chop suey plus rice and chop suy plus mushrooms, then perhaps https://support.wp-pizza.com/downloads/wppizza-add-ingredients/ is a better way to offer that

you are misunderstanding the two “restriction boxes”.

they do the same thing, except that one allows you to select items, the other entire categories.

it does not say “apply discount to following menu items” but “menu items in cart must belong to the following menu items for discount to apply”

though i do understand that this might sound similar the meaning is of course quite different.

if you can find a wording that makes this clearer i would be more than happy to hear it.
