I can confirm if you have one custom group for it to be a button and another already selecting it then it stays as a radio button already selected.

Thanks for the reply Oliver this will work just fine for now I think. If you make a future extension allowing meal deals I would purchase it too to make the meal deals seem a bit more seamless.
