I was sure I had that issue fixed once and for all a few months ago.
Alas, it appears it has come up again for some reason.
At least it’s only a case of re-sorting , and most of the time people will add/remove/sort their categories and then will not have to touch them for a while.

The “old/original” issue was that the categories even disappeared in the admin (but not the frontend)

it all comes from having to add a script that actually allows category sorting, as wordpress does not allow for that by default…

anyway, I’ll fix it when I get to the bottom of it
