So I’m getting an error(s) with the SMTP setting:

220 We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited and/or bulk e-mail.

550-Verification failed for: No Such User Here.

I talked to the host and they’ve check everything on their side out and told me it’s working fine and to seek out your assistance with the issue. I’ll post the full log in a second comment.

it says it all there:

SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [redacted]: Verification failed for
No Such User Here
Sender verify failed

in any event, you should talk to your (mail) host about smtp errors like that . i have no knowledge of your email server setup

The short answer is that I’m an idiot that needs more caffeine. You have to have a mail plugin for this to work :X

i dont think you (necessarily) need a mail plugin as such (if we are talking about another wp plugin here), but the mail function should of course be enabled on your server

I installed Easy WP SMTP and it worked instantly?
