please read the big red stuff in the postcode plugin

you don’t *have* to delete the old postcodes (they just will be ignored with other delivery settings) but you can if you want to
if at some point you want to switch back to your old delivery settings, then they would already be set up if you don’t delete them

it’s entirely up to you really on that front
